Reading 10-17-11
I started reading the first Harry Potter book because I have never read any of them before. It is kind of fun to read because I already basically know the story from seeing the movies. Although I am disappointed that it was "translated" to American, because it makes it more English if there are actually really English terms in it. I look forward to reading more.

Was it "translated"? I thought they kept many of the Britishisms. I loved the Harry Potters, too -- I was pregnant with my first daughter when the books first became popular, and there were many nights when I couldn't sleep, so I distracted myself with Harry Potter. Then, when Fiona was born, and she was UP ALL NIGHT, I'd walk her up and down the hallway with her in one arm and the new Harry Potter in the other. Passed a lot of LONG nights that way.
